I guess we can all thank Osiris for this ddos, he was #1 on rankprogress and was frozen for a while today because his script didn't respond to the admin message. After losing the #1 spot the game gets DDossed

It's been said plenty of times already now, getting protection from DDOS attack is practically impossible for a small company like omerta, if you look at the major companies and websites/servers that get ddos'd even though they have billions, how could a small company protect themselves? That said, they would've been better off picking a hoster that does a better job of mitigating DDoS attacks (and by the way, why the hell is this game hosted in Canada? :D Not like anyone's playing Omerta there ... /runs). Or just get a dedicated DDoS protection service like CloudFlare, ain't exactly expensive.
