Might be they are weaker. But they had to know that Merciless would never let them get the first place without a fight. They could not be that clueless and think it´s all good. Why wait and get slaughtered when you can attack and at least do some damage.

Marazzino have shot with Merciless in previous versions, why wouldn´t they do it now? And to think the two largest and strongest families would end the round together is to be pretty stupid. What I don´t understand tho, is why Pentagram didn´t shoot first. If they had they would probably have won.
And this talking about backstabbing here and backstabbing there is just lame. It´s a mafia game for Pete´s sake, it is a part of the game. The greates mafia story of all time, The Godfather, is full of backstabbing. You have your true friends and then you try to use and manipulate others for your own gain, nothing wrong with that. In fact it is cleaver.
I think both Pentagram and Merciless played this round well. Used each other to get the others out of the way and now a final clash for the win. The other families had their chance to shoot, but didn´t. If Merciless would have been attacked I doubt Pentagram would have countered, they would just have seen it as a good thing to get a big opponent killed or weakened. Same goes the other way around.
Just my two cents. And now Im off to bed. No fun when you can´t participate.

i thought marazzino blooded pentagram&darbe. merciless stab can be acceptable to some point since they are the ones who killed most of brugs in that gangbangs. though i cant understand reason of maraz's stab? since they will gain nothing of it but enemies. well, asslicking, stabbing and whoring themselves is in their bloods i suppose.

what merci do is like stealing from a thief. Pentagram was licking merci ass from the start and created the pussiest pact in omerta history, then got what they really deserved. as for merciless+motisi+maraz, all of them proved how dishonorable fams they are couple of times already.

sorry to break it to u but respect is a thing from the past...
compare it to becomming capo for the first time,in the past u had to earn it,now u buy it.
on another note : this was so predictable,2 big fams ( almost 200 brug++ combined ) + their lapdogs...no way someone would say : ok i'll be happy with second place.
even tho it's a stab,just imagine how everyone would react if they had closed the game with that many hr's.
